Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Duties:

• Support both the corporate accounting team and the business area accounting team
• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries
• Create accrual-type journal entries in collaboration with operational teams
• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testing
• Document processes and facilitate cross-training to ensure knowledge sharing
• Contribute to project work, including process documentation and improvement initiatives

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or enterprise environment
• No specific industry experience required; candidates from diverse accounting backgrounds are welcome
• SAP experience preferred, though experience with other large ERP systems is also acceptable
• Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets
• Experience in a large company setting is beneficial, as it aligns with the structure and complexity of this role
