Job Description

We are excited to invite applications for a qualified part-time (adjunct) instructor to teach art history courses focused on research and writing at the undergraduate level. In this role, you will collaborate with fellow faculty members in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for students.

Remote Position: This position is entirely remote, with all classes delivered through the College Learning Management System (CANVAS).

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in art history or a related field from an accredited institution.
A proven track record of commitment to student success, diversity, and inclusion.

Knowledge:

A Master's degree in art history or a related discipline is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have experience advising and directing student projects in art history or a closely related field.
A background in Native American art history or related Indigenous Studies is highly desirable.

Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in writing and research within the discipline of art history.

Abilities:

A strong commitment to fostering student success and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience or interest in working with the Navajo Nation is a plus.
A collaborative spirit to thrive in a tribal college setting.

Additional Responsibilities:

Instructors are responsible for all aspects of course content delivery in the online classroom, including assignment development, grading, reporting grades, and assessing student learning as outlined by the Dean of the School of Arts & Humanities.
