Teaching Opportunity:
Course: Exercise Physiology I (Integrated Lecture/Lab-Based)
Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday, 10:00 AM - 11:50 AM
Location: On-campus
Semester Dates: Classes begin Monday, August 26, 2024, with finals concluding on December 13, 2024.
Position Overview:
This is a required 4-credit course for all Exercise Science majors, focusing on cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic physiology, responses to acute exercise, and exercise training adaptations. The laboratory component will emphasize exercise testing procedures, techniques, and research principles, providing students with practical experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach the Exercise Physiology I course in person, engaging students in both lecture and lab settings.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the course aligns with program goals and standards.
Qualifications:
A master's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
Previous college teaching experience is highly valued, though relevant professional experience will also be considered.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
