Job Description

Eleven Recruiting is hiring an AI Developer Relations Engineer to serve as the bridge between our client's AI platform and the developer community. This role is responsible for driving engagement, advocacy, and adoption of the platform by AI practitioners. The AI Developer Relations Engineer will educate and support developers, showcase the platform’s capabilities, and provide valuable insights to internal product and engineering teams to refine and enhance offerings.

This position reports directly to the COO and collaborates closely with marketing and product teams, making it a key role in shaping both developer engagement strategies and product roadmap decisions. While this role is remote, preference is given to candidates based in San Francisco or Los Angeles due to proximity to industry hubs and events.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Education

• Engage directly with AI developers and application builders to educate them on the platform’s capabilities, ensuring seamless model building, training, and deployment.
• Develop sample projects, tutorials, and coding demos to simplify adoption and highlight best practices.
• Create technical content, including blog posts, videos, and documentation, to educate and inspire AI developers.

Technical Advocacy

• Represent the company at developer conferences, industry events, and meetups by delivering presentations, workshops, and live demos.
• Act as the voice of the platform in online forums, social media, and AI developer communities to promote awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling technical narratives that resonate with AI practitioners.

Community Growth & Support

• Build and nurture an active developer community by organizing and participating in hackathons, webinars, and user group meetings.
• Manage online discussion platforms (Discord, Slack, forums) to provide technical guidance, share updates, and foster developer collaboration.
• Drive engagement strategies to attract and retain AI developers through ambassador programs, challenges, and partnership initiatives.

Feedback Loop & Product Insights

• Collect and analyze developer feedback to identify pain points, feature requests, and opportunities for product improvement.
• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to advocate for community-driven enhancements and optimizations.
• Ensure that insights from the AI developer community directly influence the company’s product roadmap and strategy.

Strategy & Initiative Leadership

• Design and execute developer engagement initiatives to grow the ecosystem and enhance developer experience.
• Lead outreach programs with minimal supervision, using data-driven approaches to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
• Explore partnerships with academic institutions, research groups, and AI thought leaders to expand the platform’s reach.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, data science, or machine learning.
• Strong expertise in AI/ML workflows, including model training, deployment, and optimization using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in developer relations, technical advocacy, or community-building roles within AI.
• Ability to engage and educate developers through technical content, events, and open-source contributions.
• Strong public speaking skills, with experience leading workshops, webinars, and hackathons.
• Active presence in AI developer communities across platforms such as GitHub, LinkedIn, Discord, and Twitter/X.
• Working knowledge of Web3 concepts, including decentralized computing, smart contracts, and blockchain protocols.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of independently executing community engagement strategies.
• Experience in thought leadership, including publishing AI-related articles, contributing to research, or speaking at industry events.
