Job Description

Job Summary: The AM Breakfast Cook at Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast items in a timely and efficient manner. As part of the resort's culinary team, the AM Breakfast Cook will work in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service to guests and uphold the high standards of the resort's restaurant and hospitality services. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. • Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure quality and presentation of food meets or exceeds guest expectations
• Maintain clean and organized work station, following all safety and sanitation procedures
• Communicate inventory needs to Executive Chef or Sous Chef for replenishment
• Collaborate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service
• Assist in planning and execution of special events and promotions
• Adhere to resort's policies and procedures, including dress code and punctuality
• Attend all staff meetings and training sessions as required
• Continuously strive to improve knowledge and skills in culinary techniques and industry trends

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a breakfast cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Culinary degree or certification is a plus
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
