Capital Home Builders is a vertically integrated residential construction company delivering a turnkey building experience for retirees and custom homebuyers in Savannah Lakes Village. We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Architect or Architectural Designer to lead the integration of our design and estimating systems using Revit and Buildertrend . This is a pivotal role in creating a scalable, automated, and highly accurate design-to-estimate pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Custom Home Design & Modeling

• Design fully custom homes in Revit, ensuring every detail reflects exactly how we build —including the materials, methods, and assemblies used on-site.
• Modify and model semi-custom home plans based on client redlines and field input.
• Use BIM modeling tools to create intelligent, data-rich models that drive takeoffs and internal workflows.
• Produce detailed construction documents: framing layouts, MEP coordination, deadwood placement, cabinet layouts, and more.
• Integrate AutoCAD submittals from vendors directly into architectural plans.

🔹 Estimating & Takeoffs

• Generate highly accurate material takeoffs directly from Revit models.
• Input quantities into Buildertrend to create client-facing proposals and internal budgets.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to establish and maintain unit pricing for all materials (e.g., insulation per SF, gutters per LF).
• Manage the Buildertrend Cost Catalog to ensure estimates align with actual vendor pricing.

🔹 Selections & Schedules

• Input client-selected finishes into Revit models and generate detailed finish schedules.
• Ensure selections are costed properly and align with supplier invoices.
• Help standardize and streamline the selections process across the organization.

🔹 Cross-Department Collaboration

• Work from sales redlines and input from client design meetings.
• Coordinate with superintendents to ensure plans are executable in the field and reflect actual construction standards.
• Collaborate with the CFO/bookkeeper to verify that estimated quantities and costs match invoices and job cost data.

🔹 Continuous Improvement

• Own the responsibility of making sure all designs and takeoffs reflect the exact construction process Capital Home Builders uses.
• Play a key role in developing a scalable, accurate, and efficient design-to-estimate system.

Qualifications

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or a related field

✔ 3–7 years of residential design experience (custom or production home building preferred)

✔ Revit or AutoCAD proficiency is required (BIM-based estimating workflows highly preferred)

✔ Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar project management software

✔ Strong understanding of residential construction methods and build sequencing

✔ Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy, innovation, and team collaboration
