The Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising is part of a team of Cornell Bowers CIS advising professionals dedicated to supporting, developing, and empowering the college's more than 2,000 majors who hail from three distinct admitting colleges--the Cornell College of Arts & Sciences, the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Cornell Engineering.
Using a holistic, developmental advising approach, the assistant director of undergraduate advising will actively advise a portfolio of ~400 Cornell Bowers CIS majors, as well as potential majors and minors and internal and external transfer students, on a one-on-one basis. They will also be a key member of the student services team tasked with building a Cornell Bowers CIS undergraduate culture and identifying opportunities to enhance the Cornell Bowers CIS undergraduate student experience.
