POSITION Assistant Executive Director
DESCRIPTION Position Summary:
The Assistant ED is responsible for implementing facility, state, and federal policies and procedures and performing duties as directed by the Executive Director in addition to supporting an environment that is consistent with the Hearthstone Mission, Vision, and Values (MVV).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a leader in modeling Hearthstone’s MVV and culture of “Serving with Love, Respect and Integrity”.
- Assist the Executive Director in the overall management of the facility.
- Ensure that all departments are prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through working with respective department managers, benchmarking and updating programs, policies, procedures, medical documentation and environmental safety.
- Supervise assigned department managers and be aware of operational logistics, budgets, personnel development, and issues that may require resolution.
- Act as day-to-day resident liaison for the residents, families, and guests of our Active and Assisted Living Communities. Proactively meet and greet residents, family members, and guests. Follow up on phone calls, emails, questions, comments and concerns of residents and families, including investigations, as necessary. Ensure that residents are recognized for birthdays and anniversaries through Receptionists and Life Enrichment.
- Assist RCC’s in hiring, training and performance management of care staff.
- Attend meetings, conferences and courses for development, as needed.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings when needed and collaborate with Human Resources for New-Hire Orientation and training requirements as required by RALF rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENT Position Requirements:
- Have an active Oregon RCF Administrator license.
- Maintain license by obtaining needed annual CEU requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age and possess at least two years of Assisted Living management experience that has occurred in the last 5 years in a health or social service-related field or program or possess an accredited bachelor’s degree in a health or social service-related field.
- Have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent command of both the written and spoken English language.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and keep financial records.
