Sewickley Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach to join our team. As an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the baseball program, including practices, games, and team management. This is a part-time position that requires a commitment to after-school practices and games.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and games
- Help develop and implement game strategies and tactics
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes
- Assist in the management of team equipment and facilities
- Attend team meetings and events as required
Requirements:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Knowledge of baseball rules and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other coaching staff
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
