Job Description

As the Auto Body Technician, you will make repairs to metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts of vehicles. You will plan the necessary repair work and use various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle. You will also hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible. You will also be responsible for realigning chassis and frames; removing damaged sections of vehicles and replacing parts; repair or replace glass and windshields, interior parts as needed. Weld and otherwise attach or fit parts into place. Preparing and repoints vehicle with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent. Ensuring all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair.                                                                           What you need to succeed in this position is the ability to read job orders, work well with other repairers, thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle body and thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade. 

• Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field preferred.
• Three years of related experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 

Physical Requirements :

• You must supply your own general hand tools.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and safety inspections.
• Must be able to life 50 pounds at times.
