Job Description

Remote Benefits Enrollment Agent

*** Must be a resident of Georgia (or Alabama, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina or Tennessee)

The Weatherspoon Agency, a regional division of American Income Life (AIL), has been a leader in providing supplemental benefits for over 68 years. As the only 100% union-based premier supplemental benefits company, we proudly serve over 40,000 labor unions nationwide.

Our clients include working-class groups such as military personnel, law enforcement, first responders, government employees, auto workers, teamsters, and members of the music, entertainment, and professional sports industries, including the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Atlanta Braves. Altogether, we support over 5 million active policy-holding members and counting.

What Sets Us Apart:

Our customers reach out to us directly for their benefits and services through their union and association representatives. This means no cold calling is required. Members often make informed and direct requests (sometimes personally handwritten and mailed) for our benefits packages. They recognize the importance of additional coverage since their standard work benefits may be eliminated or reduced upon retirement. We provide them and their families with permanent benefits, offering protection and peace of mind for a lifetime.

Benefits of Joining Us:

  • Warm Leads Provided: Enjoy fresh, warm, direct leads at no cost to you .
  • Financial Growth: Earn bonuses and ongoing monthly renewals on past sales, building lasting customer relationships and a lifetime of residual income.
  • Professional Development: This role offers a pathway for growth into team leadership positions and even future executive leadership roles, with ongoing coaching and advanced professional development.

Primary Duties:

  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products, including life, accidental, and hospitalization insurance policies.
  • Establish strong customer and community relationships to develop additional leads and referrals.
  • Maintain all current licensing, agency, and carrier compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: No prior experience in insurance sales is required, we encourage candidates from diverse work backgrounds to apply. Comprehensive training is provided for all new candidates.
  • Licensing: We will assist you through these steps once you are hired for the position. Temporary licensing is available for Georgia residents during your first 15 months with the Agency. After that, or if you’re located outside Georgia, the position will require you to obtain and hold a resident Life, Accidental, and Hospitalization Insurance License in your state of residence. (Residents outside of Georgia, including Alabama, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, or Tennessee will need to also need to have a Georgia Non Resident license)
  • Coachability: A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new challenges.
  • Self-Reliance: Comfortable working independently while contributing to a supportive team.
  • Business-Centric Attitude: Ability to work with dedication, knowing you are building a better future for yourself and your clients.
  • Remote Work Skills: Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing time effectively to meet goals.
