Hope Coffee Sunnyvale in Sunnyvale, TX is looking for one breakfast cook to join our team. We are located on 129 Collins Rd . Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

Overview: The Breakfast Cook at HOPE Coffee Sunnyvale is responsible to prepare and cook the breakfast items under the supervision and direction of the Chef for HOPE Coffee Sunnyvale so that each item is prepared with excellence and quality. The breakfast cook will also be responsible for maintaining quality standards and safe conditions, and encouraging a positive environment for customers and team members while demonstrating the HOPE Coffee Values. The breakfast cook will prepare quality menu items that represents HOPE Coffee well.

  Position Responsibilities:

 Kitchen Production

• Prepare and cook the breakfast menu items for customers to enjoy either as a to-go item or an in-house item. 
• Remain focused and accurate while preparing each order in a fast paced cooking environment.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment that meets the local health codes by following the cleaning instructions from the Chef.
• Assist the team in accurately checking in and putting away food deliveries.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older.
• Prior commercial kitchen experience is desired.
• Must be able to work early morning shifts that may start as early as 4:30 am.
• Must be able to learn and use the kitchen equipment provided (oven, griddle, steam table, hot box, etc.).
• Must be able to read and understand English related to the job and communicate with the HOPE Coffee team effectively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 45 lbs. and able to bend and twist from the waist.
• Must be able to frequently use hand and finger motion, handle and feel objects, reach with hands and arms, handle hot food and beverages and work with sharp objects.
• Must maintain personal grooming and appearance standards in order to meet the cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene standards for health code purposes.
• Must be able to interact with team members in a friendly fashion demonstrating a heart to serve people.
