As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and motivated student to intern in a role as a Business Management Intern at our North Indianapolis location. This role is a great opportunity for the right individual to gain valuable skills in general management, customer service, inside sales, marketing, networking and customer relationship management.
The internship will provide ample opportunities for the right student to apply learnings, gain experience and leverage their talent in a meaningful way to drive business results.
No prior construction experience is required , we'll teach you valuable business fundamentals using our proven system, provide meaningful project for you to exercise your skills, and allow you to generate project proposals to work on independently.
As a Business Management Intern at our Ace Handyman Services (AHS) North Indianapolis location, you will be responsible for the following activities:
•Answer phones on assigned days, review inbound emails, respond to customer calls and online leads in timely manner.
•Educate customers on our services, capabilities, rates and availability and quote projects via phone
•Utilize Ace dispatching & schedule management software to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of customer needs, keeping in mind logistics of projects and travel time
•Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in assigned part time or full time shifts as agreed between the hours of 8am - 5:00pm EST Monday- Friday at our North Indy location.
•There is an opportunity to customize duties to include a preferred focus on marketing, social media, business development to meet internship requirements or interests.
•Opportunity to participate and join in networking events representing the AHS brand (may be outside of hours listed below)
Specific qualifications for the role include:
•High school diploma or GED
•Working towards 2 year or 4 year college degree
•Organized, detail oriented, self-starter
•Interested in helping customers
•Comfortable with following a documented call process to book clients and meet customer needs
•Adept at using multiple software applications; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word
•Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
•Brings a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie to the workplace

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Most of the projects completed are for Repeat and Referral Customers-folks truly appreciate our high level of service, and they often request additional work by asking for particular Craftsmen by name.
