Job Description:

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Case Manager will serve in a non-clinical case management role for students who are referred for additional support, including providing appropriate interventions, referrals, follow-up services and monitoring to maximize student success. The Case Manager will also collaborate with on-and off-campus partners with the end goal of creating long-term success plans by connecting students with appropriate resources. This role is in conjunction with the GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant Program and funded by SAMHSA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet with and provide support for students in distress or of concern by triaging, assessing urgency and scope, and coordinating a response from the university community in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide oversight and management of cases for students referred by administration, faculty, staff, and other members of the community.
  • Provide follow-up and collaborate with students during significant personal events i.e. transport to the hospital due to MH or AOD concerns, process of Medical Leave of Absence, or if referred by the CARE Team.
  • Connect students with resources on and off campus as appropriate.
  • Serve as a point of contact for campus community members who are seeking consultation about case management services for identified students.
  • Establish assessment and evaluation procedures for case management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of students educational and health records per FERPA and HIPPA and maintain compliance with reporting requirements under Title IX, the Clery Act, and other applicable regulations.
  • Provide appropriate and timely reporting and documentation in case management platform
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering services to the student body of Salve Regina University with a sensitivity to people of different and diverse backgrounds and possesses a commitment to Salve Regina University's mission and Mercy Catholic Mission
  • Act as a member of the Dean of Students Team
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dean of Students and Associate Dean of Students

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 10 hours a week during July - August 2024 and 7 hours a week during Academic Year (14 weeks)
  • This is a temporary, part-time position (Grant Funded from July 2024 - May 2025)

LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Valid driver's license required.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Requirements:

Required :

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Preferred :

  • Master's degree in student affairs, social work, or related field.
  • Knowledge in areas of crisis and risk management, behavioral intervention, and community standards in a higher education environment.
  • One to three (1 - 3) years of case management related experience.
