Thank you for your interest in our full time, assistant management level Pharmacy Technician role!

If you are an immunizer, that's great! If not, we will help you become one.

You will work at an over 89 year old, independent, family owned, local, community pharmacy with big plans in the works! Changes on the horizon include emphasizing growth of the clinicial roles and serving our community.

In addition to generations of successes as Rankos Pharmacy, we are increasing clinical services, POC testing & treatment on site, collaborations, emphasis on travel, vaccinations, and prevention (in general). We are also devoted to supporting each and every individual in their life, health, and learning in their personal health journey.

If this role sparks your interest, know there is room for growth! Initially, your responsibilities will be heavy, consistient, and key to the day to day operations of the pharmacy. Additionally, problem solving, accuracy, patient care, and deep consideration of each patient interaction is essential. This emphasizes analyzing each rx and determining (with patient) how can we get each person the lowest possible price. We can special order, participate in programs/grants, and offer discounted pricing (WITHOUT ANY DISCOUNT CARDS)....our discounts are internal.

Additionally, an essential component to this role is organization, time management, taking charge of tasks, and problem solving. You will act as a key leader within the team, assistant, pharmacy manager (if this role turns out to bee appropriate for you).

Day to day pharmacy operations as well as managerial support and open, honest communications will be key and you will be in charge of compliance, medicare & medicaid billing and specialization, immunization clinic smooth organization and meeting all committments, leadership, policy development, and internal consultation.

AUDITS. If you are not fullly capable of setting your goal to be 100% accuracy in every aspect of each rx fill, this is not the role for you. We expect 100% accuracy, and if you are weak in an area, or perhaps don't know how to do a calculation or task the same, everytime, that's ok...just ask us. You must be able to identify areas you need to learn and accept feedback graciously. If you are not able to make changes in areas in which you are innacurate, this is not the job for you. Don't get me wrong, we will work with you and help you as much as is needed, but if you are unable to change, modify, listen politely, and follow the way we do things, consider another position.

Audits. When we get audited, your reaction should be immediately problem solving oriented. If you see an audit or someone asks you to do something. That means right now. If you do not take immediate action when problem solving, this is not the role for you. You must care about each a nd every patient and understand that YOU are essential to the success and advancement of Rankos Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician is a key person in all aspects of pharmacy operation. You are a leader.

General Description:

-Current, Unrestricted WA Pharmacy Technician License

-Contributes feedback to managment and is active in continual process improvement

-Not only provides exceptional customer care but also shows integrity in all actions.

Responsibilities include:

-Daily duties such as sterilizing and cleaning, organizing, stocking, and other functional duties.

-All data entry, billing, organization, medication prep, cycles, auto fills, individualizing patient preferences, doing updates and providine observations and suggestions, reports, all PAs and regularly follows up on all issues.

-Solves all problems and follows up with patients with honesty and a sense of urgency.

-Committed to not losing money for the pharmacy or making questionable decisions.

-Always communicates with your supervisor and presents issues and solutions.

-Constantly thinks, how can I improve Rankos Stadium Pharmacy, our community, our patients lives and medication burdens. Takes action always. Does not put any issue off or delay.

-Documents all actions and steps taken

-Communicates issues and also calls all new patients. Communicates any issue that stops an rx from being filled to patient after discussing with pharmacist first.

-Never says or implies Yes or No, a prescription is ok to fill without first consulting pharmacist.

--Is responsible for follow-up of all non-discressionary issues related to filling prescriptions with Pharmacist oversight.

-Additional leadership and Assistant Management duties for both the pharmacy and front end. -Leadership Professionalism, & Communication are key to success in this position.

-Positively contributes to the environment and acknowledges all patients and engages in any offer to be of assistance. Walks to the patient and helps patient find what they seek.

-Does not gossip and problem solves intrapersonal issues directly with the person in which it occurs.

-Creates a customized list so that you can accomplish tasks and duties in the way that works best for you.

Overall:

-Experience with PioneerRx, pharmacy operations, POS, management, OTC & Health and Wellness merchandising, reports, audit knowledge, leadership, and intrapersonal skills are key to success. Presision and mindfullness in budgets and working within timeframes. A sense of urgency is essentail. You will be in charge of researching the best prices and ordering.

-It is essential that you care about patient needs and are able to anticipate them, support the pharmacy mission and vision, support the pharmacist, and work to benefit the business and promote patient care.

-Must provide prompt, precise care and follow up with patients, follow instructions, and communicate and resolve issues they occur. It is essential to follow up with patients immediately and consistently. It is also essential to accurately perform tasks and 8duties and exemplify motivation and drive.

-Does not leave left over work. Asks pharmacist if the time is appropriate to leave before leaving. Does not leave lingering problems

-Treats all others with respect, no judgement, support, gentle kindness, and warmth. Listens and writes what people tell you they want. Follow up.

Store hours are M-F 9 am till 6pm & Sat 10 am till 5 pm

Schedule: Varies and includes 4 hour shifts, 8+ hour shifts, and other Mon-Sat (some Sundays and other special event days). Ideally the schedule is approx 9 am till 5 pm and occasional Sats 10 am till 2 pm.

This role emphasizes data entry, vaccinations, precision, consistiency, reporting, and managerial level business functions. Additionally, the person will utilize scheduling software, communicate with patients, listening and sensitively interact with patients during often sensitive times. Patient communication (prompt, daily emails and phone calls, including confirmations and changes).
