SouthCoast Health Is Looking For A Clinical Practice Manager, RN For Our Eisenhower/Bldg. 1 Location

In cooperation with the leadership team, the Clinical Practice Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective clinical operations of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medical practices laws and policies, terminology and reimbursement policies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to physicians, administration, supervisors, subordinates, patients and patient families.
  • Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.

Responsibilities:

Overall Daily Operations:

  • In coordination with the Senior Practice Manager, the Clinical Practice Manager will be instrumental in developing plans, policies, and procedures to efficiently provide quality patient care. Implements cost effective (office specific) procedures for operational areas including billing, insurance, credit/collections, data processing and space planning while ensuring compliance with operational, clinical and Human Resource policies, procedures, regulations, and standards. Participates in the development and implementation of long-range plans and budgets as outlined by the CEO and Chief Financial Office. Monitors and controls clinic expenditures within budget.
  • Supervises staff typically composed of Clinical Coordinator, Assistant Clinical Coordinator, LPNs, and Medical Assistants (staff may be exempt or nonexempt).  Monitors all staff work status and progress. Helps to establish and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the assigned areas. 
  • Oversees clinical operation of the Urgent Care Department, ensuring effective patient management.
  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of Prior Authorization staff and work in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure patient access to prescription medications in a timely manner.

Staffing and Employment:  

  • Responsible for supervisor of non-physician clinical staff support staff.
  • Responsible for all supervisory functions including hiring, training, counseling, disciplining and/or termination of payroll, and staff/physician matters in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Handles all daily personnel management, including conflict resolution, payroll staffing requirements and performance/compensation evaluations in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures. Completes performance reviews for all personnel at 90-days and annually in July.

Risk Management:  

  • Ensures compliance with all risk management procedures and initiatives through staff training, staff orientation, monitoring systems, communications with staff and Physicians. Responsible for compliance with all health department, malpractice, state and federal laws and regulations.

Quality Assurance:  

  • Responsible for all audits and surveys on the QA Annual Matrix: provide follow up on all findings and implement corrective action plans that have been presented to the QA committee.

Education/Experience:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State which you practice or must hold Compact/Multi-State RN License required. A current BLS from AHA or American Red Cross is required. ACLS is required. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required. Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience required.

Requirement:

The incumbent must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be capable of dealing with physicians, staff, and outside consultants. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude towards the patients, physicians, fellow employees and subordinates.
