Job Description

Our client is seeking a Research Coder to support their Clinical Research Finance Office in Chicago, IL

This is a contract to hire role, offering $34-36 hourly, and is onsite once a quarter, and remainder is done remotely schedule.

Job Duties and Experience:

o Any experience in looking at clinical research charges is a major plus, but can be trained on

o Need to be able to interpret and read through medical documentation and then determine if the charge will go to a payer, or if the clinical research project will be covering the procedure

o Coder will be seeing charts of only people enrolled in a clinical research program

o Knowledge of EPIC research modules would be an automatic hire

o Candidates from Academic/Teaching facilities are usually more successful in this role, as opposed to someone who works for smaller scale type places

o Must be willing to constantly be learning and growing

o Needs to be a self-starter
