Concrete Finisher

Location: Various job sites

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications to accurately finish concrete surfaces for various construction tasks.
• Set concrete forms and ensure they are properly aligned, level, and plumb to meet project specifications and requirements.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete materials, such as grout, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces using a variety of hand and power tools, including floats, trowels, and screeds.
• Apply surface treatments, such as coloring agents, hardeners, and curing compounds, to enhance and protect the finished concrete.
• Install reinforcements, such as rebar or wire mesh, to strengthen the concrete structures.
• Monitor the curing process of the concrete, ensuring proper hardening and drying.
• Repair or patch damaged or defective areas of concrete surfaces.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and secure work environment for all team members.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project managers to resolve issues and report progress.
• Be flexible with working various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a concrete finisher in a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, materials, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for concrete finishing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time.
• Commitment to following all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
