Hays is seeking a dedicated Superintendent to lead our clients' ground-up grocery retail projects across the Carolinas. This job is a great opportunity to join a well-established NC-based GC who has a great pipeline of projects, great company culture and the average employee tenure is 17 years!

Your new role

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project, from start to finish.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in ground-up construction of retail grocery stores such as Publix, Food Lion, Harris Teeters.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to do the 3-week look ahead.
