Job Description

I am currently working with a leading AM LAW 100 ranked firm , who are actively looking to recruit an attorney who specializes in Corporate (M&A) to join their Kansas City office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth analysis, due diligence, and valuation of potential M&A targets.
• Managing the end-to-end M&A process, including negotiations, deal structuring, and integration planning.
• Be involved in the drafting and negotiating of purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements and other ancillary transaction documents.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external advisors to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
• You will work in a high-volume M&A practice, who focus on both the buy-side and the sell-side of transactions.
• You will represent both strategic clients and financial sponsors.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a leading accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar of Missouri.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate law, ideally gained within a large law firm setting.
• Private equity experience is essential.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
