Director of Talent Acquisition

Position Overview:

Classification : Full time, Exempt

Location : Remote

Department : People & Culture

Reports to : Head of Finance

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Talent Acquisition to oversee our recruitment efforts and develop strategic initiatives to attract top talent. In this role you will be instrumental in shaping the future workforce at True Classic to ensure we hire individuals who align with our culture and drive our business forward. This role will report to the Head of Finance and will work closely with various departments to ensure a seamless recruitment process. 

All of True Classic's roles are global and omni-channel, leading designated areas of accountability across all product categories, countries, and different sales & marketing channels. This means you will have the opportunity to impact our operations worldwide, ensuring a cohesive strategy that aligns with our overall business objectives and drives success across various markets and platforms. 

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcers, providing guidance and ensuring clear goals and performance.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to meet the company's hiring goals and objectives.
  • Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and candidate onboarding. 
  • Employer Branding: Enhance True Classic's employer brand through various channels, including social media, career fairs, and networking events. Increase brand visibility and attractiveness to potential candidates, as evidenced by higher application rates and quality hires.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment life cycle. Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the candidate journey.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors to supplement internal hiring efforts effectively. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, provide actionable insights, and regular reports to senior management on recruitment activities and outcomes. Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, candidate quality of hire, and time-to-hire metrics. 
  • Compliance and Diversity & Inclusion: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives in recruitment processes and strategies. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration  

  • Human Resources: Align recruitment strategies with overall HR policies and initiatives. 
  • Department Heads: Understand specific talent needs and tailor recruitment strategies accordingly. 
  • Marketing: Collaborate on employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts.
  • Finance: Work with the finance team to align recruitment budgets and financial planning.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in talent acquisition, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies that support business objectives. 
  • Strong understanding of recruitment technology, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other HR software tools. 
  • Experience in vendor management and working with external recruitment agencies. 
  • Experience leading and developing a team of recruiters or talent acquisition specialists. 
  • Capable of managing up to 20 open requisitions simultaneously.

Preferences

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or Talent Acquisition (e.g., CIR, AIRS).
  • Experience working in startup environments or fast-paced, high-growth companies. 
  • Experience in the apparel or retail industry.

Work Environment: 

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home or any location with reliable internet access within the United States. You will spend extended periods at a computer, so a comfortable and ergonomic workspace is essential. We provide the necessary tools and support to ensure a productive and collaborative virtual work experience. Additionally, the company holds quarterly all-hands meetings in California, which you would be expected to travel to and attend in person.

Compensation and Benefits: 

  • $140,000-$180,000
