Position Summary:
The Director, Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Onboarding will drive talent growth through consultative coaching and strategic analysis, to recruit and retain top talent. This role will act as a pivotal business partner and talent authority – aligning the best possible talent in the field where the most opportunity exists. The Director will support managers and leaders responsible for teams to accelerate through transitions, build team excellence, resolve team conflicts, and enable cross-team collaboration across challenging, diverse organizational boundaries. This position will ensure competent and appropriate staffing to meet the needs of the College, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation and on-going staff training.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a trusted strategic partnership with hiring managers by utilizing talent acquisition strategies to attract, recruit and select high-quality candidates for academic staff working within the parameters of hiring policies and WCC collective bargaining agreements.
  • Lead a comprehensive Talent recruitment team of professional staff implementing a strategy that enhances WCC's reputation as a great place to work, delivers an outstanding candidate experience, and improves our ability to source, identify and select early career and underrepresented talent.
  • Develop plan to forecast and identify all early talent needs within the College including Academic and Staff positions.
  • Lead the recruitment efforts in the hiring of senior leadership positions and become a staffing committee member for these positions.
  • Guide recruitment and sourcing function to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to effectively minimize the time required to fill open positions.
  • Identify new staffing tools and sourcing methods.
  • Track, analyze and proactively report on recruitment metrics that measure the effectiveness of service delivery to the organization.
  • Proactively communicate progress on the recruiting lifecycle to hiring managers and the CHRO .
  • Participate in the development of talent acquisition plans that support and execute diversity, equity and inclusion practices.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of performance management for full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including performance reviews, improvement plans, and overall human capital management.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Design learning and development programs that support the employee journey.
  • Improve core processes including: processing, planning, performance management, organize, design and align needed practices and policies.
  • Lead the College's approach to provide resources for internally created computer-based and video-based learning and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Hours/Schedule:

On campus work with flexible schedule, ensuring availability during regular business operations of 8am – 5pm.

FLSA: Hourly - Non-Exempt

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Human Resources, required.
  • Requires experience in some combination of staffing strategy, organizational development, talent development, coaching, experiential learning, practical team interventions, instructional design and talent management.
  • Ability to Lead: Able to manage people leaders with direct reports in performance objectives and development targets. Must be able to drive team and departmental engagement.
  • Able to work cross functionally at all levels of the organization and manage/prioritize multiple tasks on tight deadlines. Strong project management, strategic communications and/or change leadership skills are extremely important.
  • Experience in relevant Human Resources work, including familiarity with employment regulations, diversity and inclusion best practices and standard HR practices.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $79,299 - $87,229
