JOB DESCRIPTION

The Events Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of industry tradeshows, exhibits, and other assigned event activities. You'll develop and execute event KPIs and project plans, including pre-show, on-site logistics, and post-event evaluation. As a key member of the events team, you are responsible for organizing unforgettable experiences that promote brand awareness, increase customer engagement, and drive new business. The Event Manager works collaboratively with the Senior Manager of Events, Marketing Directors, the Marketing Operations team, and the sales teams to ensure event alignment to strategic priorities, consistent messaging, and effectively meet identified KPIs.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end event management for a variety of assigned events, such as industry tradeshows,conferences, and meetings.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for internal sales kickoff meeting and annual user conference.
  • Partner with the core marketing team and stakeholders in Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing Leadership, and Ops to develop event goals, objectives and key messaging to execute key strategic events.
  • Develop and communicate event project plans for each event. Advise senior management and event stakeholders regarding event strategy, objectives and program goals; making recommendations to achieve maximum impact for minimal spend.
  • Work with marketing operations to conduct pre/post-event evaluations and campaigns, track ROI, and produce consistent, clear reporting on event programs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to determine optimal promotional plans, PR, branding, messaging, and sponsorships for each event.
  • External vendor relationship management as needed.
  • Track event marketing best practices, monitor industry trends and make recommendations for improvement and growth.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of event data to capture metrics, KPIs, and ROI
  • Demonstrated outstanding time management and aptitude for event budgeting, event planning, negotiation, and venue and vendor relationship management.
  • Exposure to corporate event portfolio strategy, corporate marketing, experiential design, measurement and impact reporting.Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency in marketing automation (Marketo preferred), project management (Wrike or Asana preferred), CRM (Salesforce) platforms as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Zoom.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time and navigating competing priorities and goals – ability to thrive in high pressure situations!

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience driving event planning and logistics, including programming, exhibit booths, sponsorship activations, promotional materials, and lead capture. More experience preferred

 

Additional Requirements and Details:

· Travel required up to 30 - 50% of the time.

· Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis

· Located and working from an office location (when required)

· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
