Job Description

DUTIES: Responsible for the completion of several concurrent forensic engineering projects. Ensure that projects conform to the standards of the firm and are within the monetary budget that has been assigned. Provide expert forensic analysis to clients on an array of engineering projects. Provide honest and unbiased analysis and consultation on various property failures. Provide appraisals on structures and equipment on an as-needed basis. Write and submit detailed and accurate reports on completed projects in a timely manner in accordance with company guidelines. Communicate with Donan's customers to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field and 4 years of experience as a Forensic Engineer or a related occupation. Must have National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) record or must be eligible to obtain. Must have experience with structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Must have experience in administering a multiple project workload. Must be active registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of North Carolina. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field and 4 years of experience, Donan will accept a Master degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field and 2 years of experience as stated above. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Extensive travel on assignments to various unanticipated client sites within U.S. Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
