As a Frontend Engineering Intern, we are seeking someone who's excited about working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and other Data Scientists to address unsolved problems in acquiring, understanding, and ranking content from inside of mobile apps. Working with our team means you'll get the opportunity to learn and grow on a daily basis, interfacing with both technical and non technical team members, and coordinating closely with external partners. As a Frontend Engineering Intern, you’ll get to: Have opportunities to work across the full software stack and collaborate cross-functionally to build the latest iterations of Branch’s flagship software enabling our best-in-class security systems. Build best in class product experiences across our Dashboard web platform (React). Design and implement web-based tools for data visualization and data labeling. Work closely with data analysts to understand UX challenges and suggest improvements. Work closely with backend engineers to seamlessly integrate with frontend systems. Comfortable implementing whole projects with guidance from Senior/Staff Engineers from design to delivery. Work cross-functionally with product, design, and the engineering team to create features which delight users and customers. You’ll be a good fit if you have: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study. Experience building reusable components, utilizing CSS pre-processors and building pixel perfect user interfaces. Proficient understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript, including contexts, prototypes/classes and closures. Experience working with a modern web framework such as Angular.js, React or Vue. Eye for design, product details, and polish. Available for a 12 week summer internship. Live in the Palo Alto area (your internship will be at Branch HQ in Palo Alto). Our Intern Program: As an Intern at Branch you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and deepen your knowledge of how Branch works and how we operate. You will get to spend 12 weeks learning from the best in the field and how you can apply what you have learned in school to the tech industry. A few notes: Interns are not eligible for health & wellness benefits Interns are responsible for own relocation/housing, a stipend is not provided Professional development workshops Social events & happy hours Mentorship matching during program Office snacks and beverages provided In accordance with applicable law, the following represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role: the estimated pay range for this role, if based in Palo Alto, CA is $47 - $57 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience (academic year), and may be more or less than the amount shown above. This role will be based at our Palo Alto office and follows a Hybrid schedule - Interns will be expected to be on site Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Interns will be expected to reside in the San Francisco Bay area during the entirety of the intern program at their own expense. Relocation and housing support is not available.
