Job Description

Position Overview:

An Electrician Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in industrial settings. This role requires strong skills in PLC programming, manufacturing, and electrical wiring. The ideal candidate will have experience working with 480 voltage systems and be proficient in using AutoCAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions, including PLC systems and circuits
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records
  • Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and trends to ensure best practices and techniques are used

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in electrical work preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, circuits, and electrical wiring
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed
