Job Description

One of our clients, an international investment bank, is looking for a Front Office IT Business Analyst specializing in the Equities Booking and Post-Trade domain, with a particular focus on Equity Derivatives and Securities Lending.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Analysis:

  • Collaborate with user representatives (traders, risk teams, operations, etc.) to gather and formalize business requirements.
  • Conduct impact and gap analyses.
  • Evaluate IT solutions to determine the best fit for business needs.
  • Draft detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Define and execute test plans.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Participate in project scoping, planning, progress reporting, issue and risk management, ensuring effective communication.

Maintenance:

  • Provide daily support for Booking, Risk, and Back Office applications, including booking operations, P&L, STP processing, settlement, clearing, reporting, and accounting.

Required Profile:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT business analysis within the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of Equity (EQD, Repo, Stock borrow lending) activities and products, particularly in trading, P&L, and risk management.
  • Expertise in equity trading systems (ideally Sophis or Murex & Calypso)
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
