Junior Execution Trader (Rates and FX)

A prominent global macro hedge fund, based in New York City, that specializes in macroeconomic trends with a particular focus on developing countries is looking to bring on a trader to their centralized team. The firm oversees approximately $10 billion across multiple funds, aiming to deliver attractive returns to its investors through a diverse range of investment strategies. The ideal candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in a sell-side or buy-side role and thorough experience trading relevant asset classes. This position will primarily focus on rates and foreign exchange (FX) trading, with potential exposure to other asset classes. This is a unique experience to work directly with the global head of trading in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute trades in rates and FX markets.
• Monitor market trends and provide insights to the trading team.
• Interact with multiple PM's on differentiated strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and counterparties.
• Collaborate with other traders and analysts to optimize trading strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in trading, ideally in rates.
• Strong understanding of rates and FX markets.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
