Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) seeks an Information Technology Associate in the Enterprise Solutions Development Division, User Experience (UX) and Information Design Unit. The Junior UX Designer is responsible for supporting, reviewing, and acting as a user experience design specialist for the complex and innovative application development and design related needs in support of CalPERS websites and online services, including myCalPERS, CalPERS On-Line, and the CalPERS Intranet.

Statement of Qualifications

The SOQ must be typed, titled “Statement of Qualifications,” and each response must be numbered and list all relevant experience, education, and training, including places of employment, dates, and duties performed. Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience in Human-Centered Design, user experience design, planning and conducting user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, and heuristic analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in writing content for the web and creating navigation systems for websites.
• Knowledge and experience in using Figma.
• Experience working with customers to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet customer needs and vision.
• Knowledge of public pension systems.
