Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate/motivated individual to assume the role of Quality Engineer in our Distribution Center in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be familiar with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001, PFMEA and/or Poke Yoke. They will be a team player/leader who works well with diverse groups of people. Candidates considered for this role must have a drive for results, experience applying and adapting tools and methods to achieve agreed upon performance goals, and a background in ISO 9001. We are looking for someone who has a hands-on approach.
What do you get to do in this position? - Conduct or participate in continual improvement activities, such as 5S, SPS, Six Sigma and ISO, to enhance the quality system.
- Analyze failures and perform corrective and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints
- Utilize the relevant quality programs and methods (8D, Lean 6 Sigma, SPS, etc.) to ensure continuous improvement
- Develop training to build quality awareness.
- Assist the Quality Manager and team in establishing, implementing, and maintenance of the quality management systems in the Distribution Center
- Contribute to improving customer satisfaction and achieving quality goals by defining and implementing projects and processes
- Support and influence customer-centric culture
- Supervisor of quality auditors for the distribution center in all three shifts.
- Drive Quality Excellence in Supply Chain (from Suppliers to Customers: receiving, picking, packing, shipping, transportation, returns, etc.)
- Contribute to the Tailored Supply Chain implementation
- Identify & capitalize on best practices in quality
- Prepare Pareto charts, and 8D reports as required.
- Review and modify the quality documentation to ensure quality output from the area.
- Participate in Schneider Production System (SPS) and ISO audits.
- Lead and develop the group of auditors in the three shifts
- Ensure action items generated from SPS and ISO audits are completed in a timely manner.
This job might be for you if have: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Industrial Engineer)
- +2 years of experience in a Quality role desired
- Experience in logistics operations desired
- Experience in driving improvement through problem solving methodologies such as 8D
- Process robustness experience
- Customer Oriented mindset
