We are Paradise Yacht Management (PYM), the largest exclusively crewed term charter yacht management company in the Caribbean. Strategically based in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. We operate a fleet of 30+ sailing yachts for term charter ranging from 45 to 80 ft in length. We have immediate openings for Yacht Fleet Maintenance Technicians for the upcoming charter season and are seeking auto/marine experienced technicians to join the PYM Maintenance department.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager/Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of yachts in conjunction with the Director of Maintenance (who is responsible for the technical execution of fleet maintenance). This includes managing a team of maintenance support staff, coordinating with vendors, yacht owners and suppliers, and ensuring that all yachts are in excellent condition and ready for use for charter.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage a team of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, setting goals and objectives, and providing ongoing training and support
•Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that the company has access to the necessary parts and supplies for yacht maintenance and repair
•Develop and implement maintenance schedules for the company's fleet of yachts, including preventative maintenance and regular inspections
•Ensure that all yachts are in excellent condition and ready for use by clients, including conducting regular inspections and making necessary repairs
•Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including tracking costs and identifying areas for cost savings
•Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and sales, to ensure that the company's yachts are available and in good condition to meet client needs
•Rollout and fine tuning of Service Fusion (or backbone program to administer maintenance), as well as crew, owner and tech's training in Service Fusion
•Represent PYM maintenance in all corporate meetings, including kickoff calls for new yacht onboarding
•Coordinate yacht owner communication related to maintenance
•Ensuring maintenance department admin and support staffing
•Developing and manage maintenance growth plan
•Coordination of large job estimates
•Monitor of owner maintenance communication groups
•Coordination of off-season haul out and maintenance
•Ensure yacht maintenance scheduling is coordinated with crew, upcoming charters, tech availability, parts availability etc
•Develop maintenance price list for external customers
•Accurate and complete invoicing (with maintenance 'stories' to justify work completed), as well as knowledge of each yacht's cash flow position
•Coordination of large inventory items purchases (generators, dinghies, engines etc)
•Coordination of new yacht and new crew onboarding tasks
•Management of inventory systems, regular inventory counts and setting up parts distribution center
•Coordination of frequent 'boat checks' and setup time to review with relevant parties.
•Coordination of all corporate card tracking, spending, approval and management for the maintenance department.
•Coordination of all receipts for parts purchased and working with accounting department to invoice yacht.

Off-Season duties as directed - May have opportunity to support other bases in Puerto Rico or Grenada.
Requirements Qualifications and Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred but not required)
•5+ years of experience in maintenance and repair, with at least 3 years in a management role
•Strong knowledge of yacht systems and components, including engines, electrical systems, and plumbing (preferred but not required)
•Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
•Experience working in the US Virgin Islands and knowledge of local regulations is a plus.
