Maintenance Supervisor – 1st Shift

🏭 Environment: Cold (38–45°F) | Lunch meat processing facility

🕐 Shift: 1st Shift | 10-hour days + mandatory Saturdays

💰 Pay: Competitive hourly pay + Quarterly Production Bonus

💸 OT Pay: Time-and-a-half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays

A well-established manufacturer of packaged lunch meat and smoked meat snacks is hiring a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians and electricians at its production facility in Montgomery, IL. If you’ve got strong mechanical and electrical experience, proven leadership ability, and don’t mind working in a cold environment, this opportunity could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supervise and lead a team of technicians and electricians
• Troubleshoot and repair processing and packaging equipment
• Oversee facility systems , including HVAC, boilers, compressors, and more
• Get hands-on with:
• PLCs (Allen Bradley & Siemens – ladder logic, I/O, troubleshooting)
• Hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, electrical , and mechanical systems
• Maintain GMP and food safety standards
• Drive team training and development, assign work orders, and track KPIs
• Collaborate across departments to support production uptime and efficiency

What You’ll Bring:

• Prior leadership experience in maintenance or industrial facilities
• Strong mechanical/electrical skills — able to lead by example
• Comfortable working in cold (38–45°F) and fast-paced environments
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational training or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical trades preferred
• Willing and able to work mandatory Saturdays, some Sundays, and OT as needed
