Definition of Class This position manages and coordinates the daily operations of the residence of the Chancellor. The incumbent plans and executes the care and cleaning of the house, coordinates and executes special events, and serves as the liaison for all internal departments and external vendors.
Housed in the Office of Special Events, this position manages and coordinates the daily operations of the residence of the Chancellor. The incumbent plans and executes the care and cleaning of the house, coordinates and executes special events, and serves as the liaison for all internal departments and external vendors. Incumbent will also assist with other events and duties outside of the Chancellor's residence when deemed necessary.
Examples of Work Performed - Manages and coordinates the daily operations of the residence of the Chancellor.
- Supports and promotes the university's reputation and mission as a leader in education.
- Coordinates and executes the care and cleaning of the house, including general housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and dry-cleaning.
- Plans and prepares food for the Chancellor, guests, and special events.
- Serves as the liaison for internal departments, such as Facilities Management, Facilities Planning, Landscape Services, IT and UPD; as well as, external vendors and house visitors.
- Creates and submits SAP work orders for house, lawn, security repairs, replacements and other services as needed.
- Manages the calendar and housekeeping needs for guests lodging in the Carriage House, guest house of the Chancellor's residence.
- Works with the Office of the Chancellor and Special Events department staff to determine guest's arrival and departure timeline, preferences, transportation needs; and, coordinates all key codes and parking for visitors.
- Assists and manages the preparation and execution of special events.
- Manages the Carrier and Carriage House inventory with Procurement Services and Special Events.
- Executes decision making abilities for the Chancellor's residence and on-site events, when needed.
- Assists with other events on campus or duties that fall under Special Events.
- Executes tasks assigned in a professional and detail-orientated manner.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Education/Experience Education:
Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED).
