Your Day to Day (including, but not limited to):
* Designs, develops, and implements efficient production systems that optimize the use of resources and minimize waste.
* Works closely with production teams to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to enhance productivity and quality, and conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on production issues to identify the underlying cause of problems and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
* Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production processes, and conducts time studies to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process.
* Develops and implements training programs for production staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively, and monitors production processes to ensure they are running efficiently and adjust as necessary.
* Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
* Creates detailed drawings of production systems and equipment to aid in troubleshooting and maintenance, and develops and maintains documentation for all production processes, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and training materials.
Skills and Experience Needed:
* General office equipment (copiers, scanners, telephones) and computer hardware/software
* Industrial Plant machinery (ovens, mixers, conveyors, etc.)
* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field from an ABET Accelerated College
* 5-10 years of experience in an engineer role with knowledge in production processes, process flow, capacity planning, inventory management .
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing
* Strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues throughout the facility.
* Strong communication skills to foster cross functionality between various departments.
* Deep specilzation in Automation technology highly preferred.
* Prior experience in Food Manufacturing preferred, but not required.
