Vergent Products is looking for a full-time Material Handler. No experience is necessary, but some experience is preferred. We will train you to configure, package, and ship electro-mechanical products. Opportunities abound at Vergent Products where you could be shipping lifesaving medical equipment, configuring an Internet-of-things device that makes people's lives easier, or assembling products for national defense. We equip you with the very best tools and systems available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Processes inventory movements according to written processes and procedures. Uses proper ESD handling to ensure integrity of product. (Processing kits, inventory transactions, requests for counts, etc.
• Assures that no incorrect materials are passed downstream as a result of improper stocking or labeling of product. Report actual and potential quality issues for corrective/preventative action.
• Manages time and resources to ensure on-time processing of material at or below standard times under direct supervision
• Counts parts per direction for daily cycle counts.
• Opens packages, reviews pack slips, counts and verifies product for receipt.
• Packages, crates, bundles and prepares product for shipment.
• Ships regular shipments out of system.
• Receives regular deliveries into system.
• Locates new and removes obsolete material in the warehouse, physically and in system.

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages.
• Valid driver's license
• Able to multi-task
• Attention to detail, accurate, organized and timely.
• Asks questions and seeks direction.
• Follows detailed instructions and reports any deviation to lead/supervisor.
• Works with others from other work areas
• Ability to learn electronic component identification.
• (preferred) Basic knowledge of warehouse set up.
• (preferred) Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Introductory knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Able to run reel counter and scale.
• Communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and in writing)
• Ability to learn introductory understanding of the total process flow.
• Interest in learning shipping and receiving, inventory and material handling concepts.

Compensation details: 17.5-17.5 Hourly Wage
