Provides administrative and secretarial support to the business by preforming duties and tasks which facilitate effective operations. This role entails managing patient communication, coordinating appointments, and maintaining patient records. The candidate will have experience with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems.

Hours of Operation:

• Monday - Thursday: 7am - 5pm
• No Weekends
• No Major Holidays

Responsibilities

• Proficient in obtaining any and all HIPPA compliant information at and around the work place setting.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient communication, ensuring prompt responses and accurate information sharing.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records.
• Utilize medical software (MEDENT) to input and retrieve patient information.
• Coordinate with appropriate personnel to manage patient care and address any issues or concerns.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Monitor and update patient accounts, taking appropriate action as needed to ensure account accuracy and compliance with medical office policies.
• Obtains insurance information required for billing
• Determines insurance co-payments due from patient AT TIME OF SERVICE; collects required amount at time of registration and issues receipts.
• Collects, logs, orders, and processes specimens for drug testing.
• Maintains organization in the collection of all specimens.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Successful completion of a medical secretarial training program preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a medical or clinical clerical position in a Health Care Setting preferred.
• MEDENT experience preferred.
