Seeking Clinical Medical Physicist for Origin Quality Solutions, LLC in Lubbock, TX
Our client in Lubbock, Texas is looking to add a dynamic clinical medical physicist to their growing program. The successful candidate will be employed by Origin Quality Solutions (OriginQS) as a Clinical Physicist to be placed at client site in Lubbock, Texas (Hybrid Role). Client's Radiation Oncology group is a patient centric department with friendly, collegial, and supportive staff. There is very low attrition in the Department of Radiation Oncology. We are looking for physicist with strong clinical skills, familiar with all aspects of radiation oncology physics. Candidate will be an integral part of the ongoing clinical developmental activities in image guided brachytherapy, adaptive radiation therapy, lean & Sig Sigma, quality & safety, and new cancer center planning and related commissioning projects. The radiation oncology program is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The practice includes:
• External beam (3-D conformal, IMRT, SRS, and SBRT), and brachytherapy (HDR)
• Two IGRT Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam STx and Truebeam) both with 6DOF-Couch
• One dedicated GE CT-simulators and one GE CT-PET Simulator
• Eclipse TPS with several productivity tools from Radformation, MVision, Mimvista and Mobius
• New and a robust set of Machine and Patient quality assurance tools
• ARIA Oncology Information System
• Elekta Flexitron HDR for brachytherapy with Oncentra treatment planning software
• CT-guided brachytherapy program
The successful candidate will join a dynamic division with 2 full-time physicists ( employed by OriginQS) . The Department of Radiation Oncology has two radiation oncologists with significant experience in a wide variety of specializations.
A MS or Ph.D. in Physics, Medical Physics, Nuclear Engineering or other related physical science degree is required. Board certification is required and the ability to obtain Texas Medical Physics License. Board eligible candidates will be considered. Personal skills such as taking initiatives, problem solving, and teamwork are required. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical and communication skills.
