The Middle School Language Arts Teacher's role involves guiding students in developing strong literacy skills, including reading comprehension, literature analysis, and writing proficiency. The teacher will create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a middle school audience, fostering an enriching educational experience. As part of a Christian educational institution, the role also includes integrating biblical principles into instruction, encouraging students' spiritual growth, and promoting a Christian worldview. Collaboration with fellow teachers, communication with parents/guardians, and participation in professional development are integral to the position, ensuring well-rounded student development.
Estimated hours: 40 hrs per week, August through May

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with middle school curriculum standards and educational objectives
· Use diverse teaching strategies and resources to meet students' varying learning needs
· Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress
· Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff regarding student performance, concerns, and achievements
· Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and activities
· Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
· Obtain or maintain teacher certification through ACSI
· Fulfill other duties as assigned by the school administration
