Job Description

Tollefson, Bradley, Mitchell & Melendi, LLP is an established insurance law firm with offices in Uptown Dallas. We are seeking to add a full-time, experienced paralegal to our team.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Strong litigation experience; 5 or more years’ experience with a litigation law firm is required

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook

• Proficient in trial management software such as Trial Director or Summation

• Able to operate office equipment for scanning, faxing, mailing and answering a multi-line telephone system

• Excellent typing, writing and verbal communication skills

• Work well within a team & independently

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize & organize duties

• Ability to meet critical deadlines

• Receive direction well, in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift and move files and/or property

• Certified Paralegal Certificate preferred

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and respond to discovery (interrogatories, requests for document production)

• Prepare record subpoenas and follow-up

• Summarize depositions, answers to interrogatories and other documents and records

• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits and other materials required for trial

• Conduct legal research as needed

• Conduct searches in public records, online records, court databases and social media

• Schedule depositions and mediations

• Other duties as assigned

This position is a full-time, in office position in Dallas, Texas and is NOT remote. If you do not live in the DFW area, please explain when you are planning to move here.
