San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas!  San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife.  We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

The phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients. Individuals must be proficient in venipuncture and capillary puncture. Individuals must follow laboratory policy on proper identification of patients and handling of obtained specimen.

Phlebotomist Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Phlebotomist certification
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to pass a Criminal Background check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
