Position Overview: A top Chicago-based Private Equity client of ours is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Equity Principal to join their team. This position offers a partner track and will be primarily responsible for leading the entire deal process in the business services sector, from sourcing to execution and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities: Originate, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in the business services sector. Lead due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, market research, and operational assessments. Develop and present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee. Structure and negotiate transaction terms, including deal structuring, financing, and legal documentation. Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives and operational improvements. Actively participate in portfolio monitoring and management, including performance tracking, strategic planning, and exit readiness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development. Proven track record of sourcing, executing, and managing successful investments in the business services sector. Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.
