Position: Production Group Supervisor Location: Bloomfield Plant – Bloomfield, NM

Hours of work: Full-Time position with hours Monday-Friday; 5 days per week, 3 shift rotation with weekend overtime

The Production Group Supervisor will direct the daily activities of workers in assigned functional areas of the manufacturing site located in Bloomfield, NM., including: mechanical assembly, work scheduling, housekeeping, safety leadership, production quality assurance, maintenance and production document control. The Production Group Supervisor will manage all manufacturing labor in order to meet the manufacturing schedule requiring close coordination with the Plant Manager and Materials Management Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Act as safety leader for the production departments
  • Understands and develops safe job procedures, helps develop plant safety policies, trains employees, and enforces all policies and procedures
  • Maintenance for entire property
  • Verify all maintenance records are filled out and up to date
  • Maintain all company vehicles and equipment
  • Manage all large refurb equipment for east coast
  • Keep large equipment refurb sheet up to date
  • Support small equipment refurbishments and production
  • Perform hands-on work as required with direct reports to accomplish the necessary work objectives
  • Plans & directs production in up to a 3-shift operation by coordinating with Plant Manager, Group Leaders, and Materials Management Supervisor
  • Supervise assigned Group Leaders and the day-to-day production activity of production staff
  • Plans production activities to meet schedule deadlines
  • Trains, directs, and develops additional Group Leaders and their direct reports in all aspect of the job
  • Schedule all Group Leader rotations as well as vacations
  • Maintains records, approves time, completes SAP transactions, orders production supplies, controls production costs
  • Responsible for the quality and specification compliance of equipment/products produced in the area

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification is required
  • An associate’s degree from a 2-year college or technical school is preferred
  • 5-7 years if fabrication experience is required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
