Job Description

Position Purpose

The Production Line Lead is responsible for coordinating activities on the designated production line to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained according to company standards. This is an entry-level leadership position aimed at fostering growth and development in production leadership skills.

Primary responsibilities:

1. Assist in organizing daily production activities to meet the company’s goals in terms of quality, schedule, safety, and productivity.
2. Support production associates by guiding and motivating them to achieve daily targets.
3. Accurately complete line output reports, detailing case counts, raw materials usage, discarded materials, and any abnormalities.
4. Communicate any production irregularities or operational challenges to the Production Supervisor.
5. Follow and reinforce standard operating procedures.
6. Collaborate with team members, including machine and forklift operators, to ensure smooth production flow.
7. Monitor product quality standards and report deviations promptly.
8. Assist in onboarding and providing basic training to new production associates.
9. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
10. Work closely with the warehouse and production team to align daily production objectives and resource utilization .

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. 1+ year of experience in a production environment, preferably on a production line.

1. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
2. Basic computer literacy; willingness and ability to learn new software systems.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of warehouse safety skills required .

Skills & Attributes:

• Familiarity with basic production tools and equipment .
• Ability to identify and implement minor process improvements.
• Effective communication and written skills . (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred).
• Positive attitude and a collaborative team oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills & Attributes:

The role is physically active, involving regular lifting, bending, reaching, and walking. The position requires handling materials of varying weights, operating equipment, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Stamina and attention to safety are essential.

Work Schedule/Shift Requirements:

• Primary Schedule: This role may require a Sunday through Thursday schedule and/or coverage during swing shifts, based on business needs.
• Flexibility Required: Candidates must be open to working varied hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as necessary to support peak periods or specific project timelines.
