Job Description

Our client is an industry/global leader in fragrances as well as taste. Their sole purpose is to provide customers with a broad range of solutions that meet the demand for clean, organic, and natural ingredients. This company is looking for an Associate Quality Lab Analyst to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the flavor and fragrances industry.

Pay : $23/hr

Schedule : 3rd shift M-F (11pm-7am)

Training Schedule : First 4-5 weeks on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm)

Type : Contract to hire (3 month)

Under regular supervision, inspect and analyze raw materials, in-process as well as finished product samples to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications, and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical and physical testing of products or incoming ingredients.
• Enter test results into SAP timely resulting in an acceptance or rejection.
• Communicate rejections and information updates to key contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Customer Care as needed. Types of communication include e-mail, making notes in system and/or verbal.
• Perform basic equipment calibrations per frequency noted in calibration procedures.
• Perform instruments, equipment and quality deviations troubleshooting in laboratory.
• Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment.
• Provide backup and support to team members as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for improvements in QC and set proactive measures for trouble prevention.

Requirements:

• Vocational diploma (pre-university) in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• University degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of industry experience preferred
• Operational experience and strong affinity on laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC.
• Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous material and related local regulations.
