As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will assume a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining our Quality Management System. Your expertise will ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance Manuals and other relevant specifications. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits.
  • Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
  • Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
  • Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
  • Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
  • Initiate and close corrective actions.
  • Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records.
  • Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or in the absence of a degree equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • ASME, ANSI, AWS and military specifications.
  • ASME Sec IX knowledge and experience.
  • NQA - 1 Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience.
