USCs Keck School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, is seeking a Research Project Interviewer .

We are delighted to announce an opening for a Full-Time Research Project Interviewer in the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the BRANCH Lab for Brain Regulation of Appetite, Nutrition, Cognition, & Health. Lab personnel research how health conditions such as obesity and diabetes are impacted by the functions of the brain. Specifically, we are interested in understanding how the brain regulates appetite and eating behavior, and in identifying early life determinants of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. This would be an excellent position for a recent graduate seeking to gain additional research experience before graduate or medical school. Training in multiple methods and opportunities for co-authorship on presentations and publications will be provided. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, conscientious, and well-organized.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in establishing and operating the lab by handling research and interview tasks, along with management and supervisory responsibilities.

  • Research/Interview tasks (80% time )
    • Subject recruitment
    • Administration of (neuroimaging and behavioral) research sessions
    • Literature reviews, manuscript writing, and grant writing
    • Support in database organization and quality checks
    • Entering, initial processing of imaging data, and managing data
  • Lab management tasks (10% time )
    • Ordering supplies
    • Running and maintaining equipment
    • Organizing materials and resources
  • Supervisory tasks (10% time )
    • Training research assistants in research
    • Overseeing and supporting undergraduate students with research assignments (e.g., data collection, coding, and entry)

Rate Information:

This position will be Non-exempt and Hybrid-Flex .

The hourly rate for this position is $22.34 - $22.45 per hour.
