We have a current opportunity for a Resident Life Coach. The position will be based in New York. For further information about this position please apply.


Responsibilities:

• Act as primary service provider for approximately 20 residents for their full length of stay
• Work with residents and their previous case managers and other collateral supports (if applicable) to develop suggested individual service plans to meet initial and intermediate goals toward establishing and maintaining successful transitions to independence and stabilization
• Be available (with emergency backup) to the assigned residents for any needs ranging from crisis resolution to daily life skills management help
• Motivate each young person to strive for independence through the completion of all educational/career/mental healthcare goals
• Complete all reporting requirements, as per direct Supervisor
• Attend and complete required trainings as set forth by the Managing Director of Housing & Supportive Services
• Facilitate groups and workshops
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively and creatively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Masters in Social Work or related field preferred
