Job Description
Job Summary: As a Restaurant Server and Banquet Assistant/Server, you'll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest's experience to their unique tastes, you'll create memories as delightful as our dishes while leaving them hungry for more. During banquets you may assist with set up, clean up, serving and the overall customer experience to excellent service.
This is a dual role and incumbent will provide full support and remarkable customer service to the dining venue as well as banquet events.
Duties/Responsibilities: Provide exceptional tableside service to our Restaurant guests and banquet clients/guests.
Welcome guests, take drink and food orders correctly
Be able to explain all specials, and answer questions on all menu items
Provide wine suggestions that are compatible with their order
Ensure all plates and drinks delivered to guests exceed their expectations.
Follow-up with each guest after they've started their meal to ensure they have everything they need and are satisfied with their order.
Work with the kitchen to ensure food service is timely, especially during high volume periods.
If the guest has a concern/problem, ensure they are completely satisfied and tell the manager so he/she can ensure guest satisfaction as well.
Complete side work (i.e., rolling flatware) as assigned and in a timely manner.
Ensure guests orders are correctly entered into the Point of Sale system
"Table touch" to ensure guest satisfaction is met and guests feel welcome and invited to return.
Collects money from guests, makes change, and records transactions on guest receipts accurately. Ensures charges and covers are correctly entered into the Point of Sale system.
Obtains guest signatures on room charges and credit vouchers. Completes accounting closing procedures required.
Respond professionally to guest issues
Must be open to job sharing and supporting the hotel team.
Assist with clean up, set up and service for banquets
