Position Summary:
Skyworks Solutions Inc. is a leading innovator in the RF Frontend module design industry, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for top-tier customers. This role will involve you to develop the most sophisticated RF front end module through Skyworks technical networks with collaborations with expert teams among all Skyworks design centers across the US and Japan. Overtime this position has potential to advance from individual contributor to key leader who will own and execute critical portion of our product developments. This is a very exciting opportunity for candidate who has ambition to build up professional growth and be part of Skyworks success. The qualified candidate needs to be a self-driven, committed team player and possess a full understanding of electromagnetics and RF circuits with details shown below.

Responsibilities

• Adapting and developing best Multi-Chip-Module(MCM) design and full module co-simulation practices.
• Designing customized semi-lumped RF matching networks, couplers, and biasing networks for RF frontend transmitting and receiving circuits with Power Amplifiers(PA) and Low Noise Amplifiers(LNA).
• Designing multiplexing networks and filters with Acoustic Resonators(SAW&BAW), Integrated Passive devices(IPD), and Surface Mounted Devices(SMD).
• Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense, RF leakage, and harmonics.
• Participating and conducting design review meeting.
• Performing lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment.

The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include:
1. Power Amplifiers
2. Integrated Passive Devices
3. SAW/BAW Duplexers & High-Q RF Filters
4. Switches
5. Low Noise Amplifiers
6. Matching circuits
7. High-directivity couplers

Software Tools Used are:
1. Ansoft HFSS
2. Agilent ADS and Momentum
3. Cadence Allegro and Virtuoso Layout
4. Excel
5. Microsoft Office/Outlook

Hardware Tools Used are:
1. Network Analyzers
2. Spectrum Analyzers
3. Signal Generators
4. Digital Receivers
5. Load-Pull/Tuners
6. RF Probe Stations

Required Experience and Skills

• BSEE and 5 years' work experience or MS and 3 years experiences or PhD
• Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
• Experiences of EM tools such as HFSS, or Momentum
• Lab experiences of network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer and probe station
• Knowledge of HBT, FET, CMOS devices
• Knowledge of RF switch design, or power amplifier design, or PA classes, Power Added Efficiency(PAE), PA performance
• Knowledge of communication standards, such as LTE-A, WiFi, and the associated standards requirements on such as sensitivity, intermodulation, de-sense, Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR), Error Vector Magnitude(EVM).
• Relevant courses: RF/Microwave Engineering, RF circuit design, RF Principles and Applications, RF System Design for wireless systems, Signals and Systems, RFIC design, Antenna Theory and Design.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience in ADS, Virtuoso, and Allegro.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
