Many vacancies available across all shifts. Wage employees are limited to working 1500 hours per year, and do not receive state benefits.
Responsible for providing general information and assistance to Government officials, legislators, employees, and citizens in the Division's statutory jurisdiction; monitor and patrol buildings, restrict unauthorized entry in assigned properties. Perform mail processing, ensuring mail is correctly sorted for customer pickup.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work 2-3 days a week, one weekend a month, and some holidays.
Must be physically able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to understand and apply Standing Operating Procedures and other written and or verbal orders and directives.
Demonstrated ability to react appropriately in routine and emergency situations, and to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Working knowledge of safety and security concepts, principles, procedures and techniques.
Excellent customer relations skills.
Experience in security position and/or military.
Additional Considerations Law enforcement experience.
